Halloween is just around the corner! And what better way to get in spirit of things than a seasonal cannabis cocktail and some festive crafts?
There may be no better fall cocktail than the rarely featured Corpse Reviver #1. It’s spiced and and dark apple flavors are perfect this time of year and also plays into my obsession with zombie flicks and the classic Frankenstein.
Corpse Revivers were a style of drink intended for “a bit of the hair of the dog “(an expression that refers to alcohol used as a treatment for a hangover). Most of the corpse reviver cocktails have been lost to time, but the cognac- and gin-based Corpse Reviver and Corpse Reviver #1 & #2 cocktails that were first listed in the Savoy Cocktail Handbook by Harry Craddock in 1930 have survived to this day.
Regardless of time of day of year, the Corpse Reviver #1 is worth discovering as it is not seen very often but is quite delicious.
